Lucy went on to conduct a thesis in geography, presented her research at an international conference, presented to the UVM Board of Trustees, and earned top honors in our college. All the while, she kept playing the cello, studying Chinese, biology and math, training for a marathon, and engaging in her community both at UVM and back home in Waterville. She’s a powerhouse.
I agree with Lucy’s support of local control of our schools, and her ideas for making Vermont more affordable for all of us.
Born and raised in Waterville, Lucy has a deep connection to the land and a clear understanding of the needs and concerns of the people who live in this area.
What has impressed me most is how Lucy has run her campaign. The critical characteristic she has shown is leadership.
This young woman has all the elements of a strong leader.
I could tell you that, yes, Lucy is very smart and worked very hard for her successes in education, and yessir that sure is true. But I would like to tell you more about the Lucy Rogers I have come to know.
Our district deserves to be led by a new voice, and I urge my friends to join me in voting for Lucy Rogers on Nov. 6.
Not too many young people running for any office would take the time to visit the elderly.
This common-sense approach to government is what I am looking for in a representative
I have been Lucy’s neighbor in Waterville for 20 years. During that time, Lucy has always struck me as someone who is thoughtful, hard-working, and willing to take on large tasks with determination and perseverance.
Growing up together, Lucy showed an abundance of compassion, practicality and determination, and she has expressed her thirst for knowledge through many outlets.
For Cambridge/Waterville residents, Lucy is ready to step up to be a leader who will find sustainable solutions for the issues that are critical to both our communities.
Lucy is creative. She sees a problem and then does her research, seeking out answers and solutions.
Lucy will see any task through to the end, no matter the time or effort required. Our community will be fortunate to have this same energy representing our interests in Montpelier.
